Problem Based Case Study Assignment

This small group (two students per group) assignment will provide you with the opportunity to apply the general pathology knowledge you have already accumulated and discover new knowledge as you investigate a fictitious client. Each case study will provide a brief description of the client. You will investigate the medical condition, determine the indicators of disease control, decide questions to ask during the health history interview, and determine the dental hygiene care plan modifications required to treat the client. You are expected to use at least three references. These may include your PATH 268 textbook, reliable websites, journal articles, newspaper or magazine articles, etc. Consider using aids such as the indicators of control tool from Lo01 Ls 02, the generic interview question tool from Lo01 Ls 01, and critical analysis tool from Lo01 Ls05. As you do your research, answer the focus questions provided. This assignment will require you to use your research and critical thinking skills.
