The distinction between goals, aims and objectives needs to be considered.  Aims are the highest level consideration - to be the most productive agent in the next 5 years.  Goals are the steps to achieve that goal - improve marketing performance, increase exposure to the profession, change the number of listings to maximize sales.  The objectives are the most discrete and measurable items - attend a marketing course within 6 months, volunteer for 3 committees and have one article published in the next 12 months, determine how many listings can be served with greatest likelihood of a sale within 45 days of listing.  These examples may not suit context or conditions, but do illustrate the distinction between aims, goals, and objectives.
